Napier confirmed OT Robert Hunt won’t play in bowl game or in Senior Bowl.

Robert Hunt will have surgery soon according to Coach Napier at the press conference today. He will attend the bowl game with team mates, but not be ready to play. Everyone else will be available to go in the bowl game.

Doubt it...oh, he may drop from a second night pick to a 3rd night pick, but he will be drafted...in fact 5 cajuns will be drafted.

doubt he drops that far. at some point he will be too valuable to pass up in the later rounds. as coach said, its your body of work that gets you drafted, not a single game. if a team feels the injury is not a problem his draft stock wont be affected a whole lot. the important part is he will be at the senior bowl for the week of practice and get to interact and interview with scouts. his talent is apparent on film, its the other stuff the scouts can learn about him during senior bowl week.

I’d wager all I have on that not happening. We have some talented guys that will get solid looks but there won’t be 5 drafted. Assuming you’re counting Hunt, Bradley, and Dotson, who are your other 2?

I assume he is referring to jacquet and calais.
I do not see calais being drafted but I can see jacquet being drafted

I will be surprised if anyone but Dotson or Hunt is drafted. There’s a lot of talented skill players out there. The pool is much larger and the chances of getting that call are that much less. Eli was a generational talent here at UL and was a 6th round pick.
