We now have three guys out for the season with knee injuries and all three were expected to contribute once conference play started, two substantially. This situation reminds me of a recent article I read in Sports Illustrated. It pointed out that youth basketball players play too much at times (especially in the summer tournaments) which makes them likely to have injuries in their college years. Similar issue to pitchers throwing too much in their youth. Problem is not just here but it seems to be exaggerated for the Cajuns this season.
Mike, was this more of a Meniscus injury rather than the ACL that he tore his senior year?

He wasn't coming off knee surgery. He had surgery nearly 2 years ago and well over a year to rehab.

He also never played a game in 2 years probably should have been playing 30 min a game to kick things off

Hindsight is 20/20 but maybe a pitch count on guys who are not in game shape would be wise

Nobody is in game shape to start the season.

    Who knew?

We should sign more nobody types and we could start the season 10-0

"Nobody is in game shape to start the season"

I guess a good mix would be best. Nobody to start the season and Somebody to finish the season.

Everyone knows you need somebody to finish the season, and by that time somebody is bound to be in game shape.
