I'd dispute that generalization to this extent. The very successful teams aren’t not missing multiple players for most of the season. The 2017 Cajuns were very healthy for most of the season for example.

Not many G5 programs can weather losing two, or more of their top players. Remember Russel isn’t nearly full speed with the groin injury. He may be slowed the entire season.

Well not exactly. We had a record setting season three years back. Now losing to lil rock was totally unacceptable. Losing to UTA was not good. Stove out, and Gant very much ill. Can’t recall but I think Washington was slowed by an early injury in the UTA loss.
