Going far away from home is a tough deal if you get outside the 6 hours driving radius. Very difficult to get home or to have family come and visit. Too expensive to fly. Hard to make that drive in a weekend and come back. If family is important, you miss too many family events and cannot be there for family emergencies. These things are not often considered when going away from home for the first time.

Just means we are recruiting the right athletes. As is always the case does Trey Amos want to be Tennessee's 5th or 6th fall back choice, an afterthought, or does he want to be one of the stars of our class?

Situations like this one, someone is always doing damage control. Don't think for one second our success has been used against BN, as in, "he won't be there". Not saying that's the case in this one, but I'm sure that card has been played.

Staff mentioned this as the main recruiting challenge earlier this year.

Emani Bailey is our most heralded RB commit in the 2020 class. Doesn't mean Pope wasn't very good or potentially better.

With the loss of Pope we are currently 2nd in the SBC recruiting rankings per 247 in two categories. Troy is 1st with overall score, but they have 19 commits to our 16. App St is 1st in average commit grade at 83.17 vs our 82.72.

Pope was a big, athletic back and would have been outstanding here. Bailey will be good as well.

LeBlanc has had a great season. Next year it’ll be harder because Bradly, Bam Jackson won’t be the primary job of the defensive backs. He might develop into a primary receiver we shall see.
