Those were New Orleans area Alumni Association folks, officers I believe. Picking them up was pre arranged as thanks for their efforts in that area. There was no room on the bus for more than those 3 people.

Name is Middendorf's. Offshoot of the one in Manchac which is on 55 between Hammond and Laplace. Glad Boomer had a good time at the new one. I have been told by others it is difficult for the new place to match the atmosphere of the original location.

Grew up going to the original. My mom LOVED the thin fried catfish.

My wife understands now why I'm a regular poster here now. Many great UL fans who share the same passion.

Did anyone else see the “Welcome to Louisiana Home of the Ragin’ Cajuns” billboard entering the state on I 10 West?

Yes! Pretty sure I’ve seen the same thing coming into the state on I-20 up north. The one near Slidell is just a little crooked. Looks like some of the Cajun fans in Mobile.
