We play Wyoming next season. A bowl game could have been interesting

I am glad the bowl game is after the holidays. It will be a great opportunity to show that we travel well. No excuses! Mobile has a nice downtown area. Let’s geaux beat the MAC champion!

I'd love to be there and support my team. But Monday January 6th.. Not gonna happen. Feel bad for the Mobile bowl though. They final get a good matchup with a close by school that has shown they can travel well when things are reasonable but the CCPspn thinks Monday after the holidays is a good time to have a game. You know because people have tons of vacation time and no one uses it in December. /s

Why not have it Sunday? I know nfl wildcard weekend. But there's NFL games Saturday but CCSPN is still showing the Armed Force's Bowl. Just have the game 11AM since they love to broadcast our games at that time anyways.

Well there is that, because if they ever go to an expanded playoff formula, conference champions will be the contenders.

There is a thread about us already there started over a month ago. Title:

“Nobody in the MAC should want Louisiana in a bowl”
    That was fun to read.

We’re playing a conference champion. May not be a big name, but I’ll take an opportunity to defeat a conference champ in a bowl game.

Here's a recap of the last time we play the 'Hawks.

Jake's first career start. Led Miami 28-3 at the half, only to have them storm back and win 29-28.

When the team landed, Nelson Stokley found out his daughter Jamie gave birth to twins and neither survived more than a few minutes.

The image of him holding onto the chain link fence and racked with sobs is a picture I'll always remember. Probably the toughest day of Nelson's life.

I didn't just need to relive that one.......that's as bad as it gets and there was no consoling him that day.
