    Here's a breakdown of bowl eligible teams by conference and each conference bowl tie-in:

    American Athletic Conference - 7 teams, 8 tie-ins
    Memphis 11-1

    78 bowl slots, 80 eligible teams. Army was the last team with a chance to qualify, but had to beat Hawaii last night then Navy. They lost to Hawaii.

    Missouri is not bowl eligible as they have a bowl ban this year. You also might see Army get bowl eligible with 6 wins next week, if they were to beat Navy.

    Forgot that Missouri's appeal was denied.

    Army played 2 FCS teams, which is why they had to get to 7 wins.

    I'm thinking one of the MAC schools is odd man out. I'm going with Kent State.

    I’ll go with eastern Michigan. Kent state went 5-3 in conf emu went 3-5.

    teams that play at hawaii are allowed a 13th game. teams with 13 games also have to win 7.

    I have a few questions regarding SBC bowl selections.

    Does the conference decide bowl locations?

    Does the individual bowl choose the desired schools based on conference tie ins?

    Does the SBC championship runner up get to choose its bowl location after the champion goes to New Orleans?

    Great question! Outside of NOLA I would like to be in Arizona.

    1st place goes to NOLA, other than that, the Bowls invite the teams based upon who they think can make them the most money. For the most part, teams don't choose from a list of bowls.
