He still has to coach the Cajuns to a natty first!

Not a shot at ya man. Didn't mean it as that. We all come down with it time to time.

In a P5 world, he's had one good season, and yet to be seen what he can do in the postseason. I think he needs to complete this run first. JMO on it. I think if he makes some national noise next year with a program out of the belt, he'll be able to sit back and pick his job. I also think S Carolina will be making a change next year, and I bet that'd be just fine with Billy...

Early candidates for the Missouri position. I’ll leave this here.

My thoughts exactly. Mizzu is looking for a BIG Splash hire to get back to the days of pinkel

He'll be on every coaching watch list this offseason. Not at the top, but on a bunch of lists as an interesting possibility.

The one reason I'd say there could be smoke at Mizzou is the Maggard connection. I'm sure he'd rather keep his guy at Louisiana, but if boosters and/or leadership at Mizzou ask Dr. Maggard for his opinion of Billy Napier, he'd give them glowing reviews.

These "lists" are useless. One of two things: It's either some rumor mill making reading material for a website or good agents doing their jobs. Has no real baring on the situation. Unless something big occurs in the coaching realm, Billy and most of our staff will be back for at least one more year.

Agreed. This is best summed up by what Jay Walker once said. If your coach's name isn't being linked to other jobs your not winning.

It’s one of those inherent things with being a Cajuns fan. Having the rug constantly pulled out from under us.

I hope we are able to keep him! I really want him to stay, but if he don’t we will be fine! We have never had a coach that went on to.take a HC position at another school.

If it happens it happens we will find another HC that will build on what he has built here at UL.
