That just because we are the better football team does not mean we will be appropriately rewarded at the end of the year. It also tells me that once Conference tie-ins are renegotiated the Sun Belt needs to do a better job of securing better bowl slots.

This falls solely on the shoulders of ____ poor football from the Sun Belt between 2000-2010. It’s all about bowl agreements going back a decade or so.

Fact is Miami-Ohio would likely beat up on a 6-6 Miami team this year. But at the end of the Bowl season precipitation is all that resonates with the masses. Don’t kid yourself, the Hurricanes are hot garbage and although Vegas has them at -6.5 the Bulldogs should walk all over them. Regardless, I’d rather be in your shoes this postseason.

Bottom line, the best bowl for UL, other than a NY6 bowl, was in our grasps. App just happen to be a better team. Regroup, go beat the RedHawks and move on to spring camp with a boatload of confidence.

There is zero downside to playing Miami in a bowl.

There are other opponents with more upside but they are unavailable.

This will be a good game.

Miami University has struggled with the name issue just like we have. I would hope everyone here would call them by their proper name. Below is from their media guide.

PLEASE NOTE: When referring to Miami, please use either Miami, Miami University or Miami (Ohio). Please do not use Miami of Ohio or University of Miami, etc. The latter are not the proper names for our institution. Thank you.

They have shirts made that say "We were a university before Florida was a state".

That's cool, except when you get the entire team held up at gunpoint before you get to Independence Stadium. Indy Bowl is a dinosaur that will soon be extinct.

No set order for Conference USA bowls. Champion will choose which bowl it wants to attend.

The Sun Belt doesn't have a true pecking order after the champion goes to the New Orleans Bowl. The bowl matchups are based on best possible games and geography.
