Tech is likely going to win this game. Miami is an abysmal 6-6 and lost a couple weeks back to FIU. The Bulldogs are something like 5-0 in Bowl games under their current coach.

Their coach spent like a short time hired at Temple, "his dream JOB" when he quit to bolt for the Canes which of course was his dream job. The U and Diaz deserve each other.

The perception pecking order is clear. MAC champ plays runner up in the belt. Belt champ plays runner up in cusa. Cusa champ plays mid level aac.

Sunbelt need to keep winning bowls like they have been. Highest conference bowl win percentage over the last 3 years. Keep that going. 5-0 isn’t out of the question.

Ga state against Wyoming without Ellington will be tough.
FIU vs ASU is interesting.
Liberty and ga so is also interesting
App and Cajuns should be heavy favorites.

That just because we are the better football team does not mean we will be appropriately rewarded at the end of the year. It also tells me that once Conference tie-ins are renegotiated the Sun Belt needs to do a better job of securing better bowl slots.

This falls solely on the shoulders of ____ poor football from the Sun Belt between 2000-2010. It’s all about bowl agreements going back a decade or so.

Fact is Miami-Ohio would likely beat up on a 6-6 Miami team this year. But at the end of the Bowl season precipitation is all that resonates with the masses. Don’t kid yourself, the Hurricanes are hot garbage and although Vegas has them at -6.5 the Bulldogs should walk all over them. Regardless, I’d rather be in your shoes this postseason.

Bottom line, the best bowl for UL, other than a NY6 bowl, was in our grasps. App just happen to be a better team. Regroup, go beat the RedHawks and move on to spring camp with a boatload of confidence.

There is zero downside to playing Miami in a bowl.

There are other opponents with more upside but they are unavailable.

This will be a good game.

Miami University has struggled with the name issue just like we have. I would hope everyone here would call them by their proper name. Below is from their media guide.

They have shirts made that say "We were a university before Florida was a state".
