This is my last post on the issue. When we win the sunbelt, beat A-s in the bowl, game , finished ranked, next season we will have momentum. Time to be prepared for the biggest marketing push we ever had. That said, I cant wait to see the colonoscopy Ulmost about to get Saturday night .

Parking lot psychology. I like it. The $10 parkers will feel like they got away with a deal compared to the pricier lots. Of course the whole point behind charging more for parking is raising funds to elevate the program. Asking folks to pay for parking on Cajun Field side is a small ask. Perhaps across Congress in the pasture, make it free next year with goal of making that paid parking as ticket buying base solidifies. Other than getting around to building the new stadium club and suites, I don't know how else we raise big time money.

We could also get a volunteer for each GA lot to stand at the entrance and hand out economy sized Vagisil to each fan...

I think the first step is getting more people into the tailgating area, bring the party back. I can’t give away my extra tickets because everybody tailgating already has tickets

But we don't "need all of them."
We need to cultivate Louisiana Football fans. And keep them engaged.
Rebuild the fanbase with passion and pride. That's something that will last.

You run them off and I will welcome them. Let’s see what works better.

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving MAT.

Upgrade the experience with the renovation. Get rid of crappy cheap upper deck GA seating. DO NOT expand north EZ seating .... yet. With a continued quality product on the field to go along with many of the game day, family friendly pricing initiatives introduced this year, seats WILL become a premium and they will sell. But the old “model” of a completely bowled stadium with upper decks is just the wrong way to go in today’s college sports environment unless your program is one of the select few. I used to think 40-45k was the capacity target for Cajun football. Now I’ve come to realize a modernized, cozier 30-35k is a more attainable target.
I don’t know if I buy the renovations improvement experience. Cajundome and ballpark(s) didn’t change the average attendance. For the last two sports, a solid product got numbers up. Basketball is still averaging the same numbers as before the renovations. Of course, concessions have gone up so that may play a part in the over/under plateau...

Everyone that came just for Hud is gone.

    Time to start from scratch.

    Ticket redemption time.

The renovations need to have suites leased ... long term to afford the project. But our press box is a joke, and other added amenities can create cash flow; all while “forcing” GA seating to the lower bowl. A 90% empty upper deck sends the wrong image IMO.
With luck we will know soon what the plan is. Dr Maggard has stated more than once it’s his #1 priority.

I paid $10 to park at a 2nd round High School game last week in Dallas area. Embarrassing to see so much whining about paying to park or having to walk from a parking lot across the street to save $10.

That’s just a pitiful excuse. If I had any friends who would use that excuse, I would tell them I will pay your $10, just show up.
