You have nothing to apologize for.It appears that some of the responders are suggesting that I leave LSU fans out of this and blame UL fans. Some have also commented that they stopped going after the University charged for parking, tailgating, etc.. I really have no reply to them except I don’t park in a pay zone and I don’t tailgate. I know most of you do tailgate and I respect that. I don’t need that for the game day experience. I park, I walk to the stadium, but get in just before the anthem, I watch the game, I leave. Simple as that. I go to sporting event for the opportunity to watch the game.
All others were just the same, “UL football will never compare to LSU”; “Tiger Stadium sells beer now” (which I didn’t deny, but I was trying to convince casual fans to grab a beer at Cajun field, instead of huddling at a bar); “you’re blaming the wrong fans” - I’m not trying to get people to switch allegiance, I’m trying to get the carefree fans from Acadiana, who carelessly follow LSU through no personal attachment, to consider the Cajuns for once.
I didn’t set out to ____ anyone, but it looks like there’s some tempers running high. My daughter even said she saw my post on Instagram- I don’t have an Instagram.
All I was trying to do was drum up some support for my Cajuns. That’s it. I’m sorry.
