Another example of why we may be fighting a losing battle. One of my FB "friends" posted this yesterday and received nothing but positive responses.
"All this talking and speculating, on who gets in and who gets left out of the CFP, is stupid. Just fix it! Guess I will fix it for them....
Expand the “playoff “ to 6 teams, all the power 5 conference champions make it in, and 1 “at large team”. The at large team has to be a team that LOST in a power 5 conference championship game, it’s decided by SOS. No more playing cupcakes or “tune-up games, all non-conference games have to be against schools from the other Power 5 conferences."
We all know WMHS out draws ULMost, but wow...

Our fan base is way too small and uninspired, but would you check these guys out. Really,we’re going down that street.
This isn't a short term strategy, but Long term the only way you get cULure turnout for a Thanksgiving week game is to do it like they did it in the old days.
Historically, Louisiana has had dozens of games ON Thanksgiving Day when EVERYONE is off and many are in town.
French, in the history of our program, we've had something like 15 crowds above 25k. I'm just thinking about the trend here. We're losing residents and we're losing interest in CFB. What's Yulman sit, 30k? Just thinking outside the box. Make the venue small and create urgency.
