Billy Kennedy. If we are going to pay. I say then let's go after him. He is a successful head coach . He has taken two mid major teams to the NCAA.
He is from Louisiana and has those "contacts in this area" and he is very personable.
There is no way we over look him.

You do know that we have a history of being a BIG TIME program? Coaches love a challenge and their ego's are just big enough to try to ressurect a program that was once on the COVER OF SI!

I think he went 5-5 as the interim HC.

That's also something that we haven't mentioned a lot about. The two recruits we DO have may or may not elect to stay with their commitments. MacDougald is a guy I certainly want to stay. I think he needs to realize that he may be in a better situation. Also, we have a lot of concern on the frontcourt and severely need help there also. Whoever comes in has a lot of work to do immediately.

That is better than the 3-4 record George Blaney compliled this year while filling in for Calhoun up at U-Conn

I don't know much about these 2 recruits. Perhaps the new coach would not even offer them. We'll see.

These players have already been signed in the early signing period.

Macdougald is considered to be a really good recruit out of Florida. He's combo guard who can score and has a pretty good range on the perimeter. Reese is looked at a little more like a project guy but he is a good defender and has that mentality. It is thought that his offensive game will come around as he's largely played behind really good offensive players at GCJC. He is doing OK this year, I think he's averaging about 8 points per game or so but he's a guy that does it all, he rebounds, dishes and defends. He could be a good compliment to Andrews.
