Someone mentioned that we signed someone from Hamilton Christian. Above article gives info on the guy and his name is Michael Thomas. I recall this guy had committed to us in the summer. I also recall now that some wondered if he would actually sign since we took Calvin Temple in September. Now we know the answer to that question. Note, if everyone on the current roster stays, we have no further scholarships to give for 2020-21.
Understand the desire for a big. Maybe someone leaves and we get one in spring.
Can’t rebound or guard bigs worth a crap. Hey let’s sign another guard!
This isn't a surprise as Thomas has been committed since February. It is also a guard replacing a guard as Hardy is the only scholarship scheduled to open due to graduation. There is somewhat of an imbalance as the situation with Temple coming in as late as he did is definitely out of the ordinary but getting an opportunity to take a player like that with an open scholarship you have to do it regardless of position.
Thomas appears to be a quality guard who can score as well as run the point. This is a pretty good video from Thomas's sophomore year when he was matched up against Javonte Smart who was a senior at the time.

Yeah, 6’1” point guard Michael Thomas. He’s returning 1A player of the year. Obviously we needed a guard from Lake Charles area since PJ will be moving on.
I suspect one or more bigs get moved as we haven’t showed much on offense or defense with the so called bigs we do have.
Temple not impressive so far, but with so little time with his teammates, he could start. Like Wilson. He needs to hit the weights in off-season.
