We gave up 26 assists...TCU saw UL down to 7 players and wore us out on the defensive end. That's before taking into account the lack of talent after first five.
I understand injuries, but my goodness.
Hardy, given the silence around his dismissal, Marlin made the right decision.
Easy money.
Cajuns are bad bad
I’m gonna go against the grain here and cut Marlin some slack in this game...if he was playing with a full line-up and these were the results? Fire away....but the man is playing with 7 players mostly due to injury, that is out of his control...again, if he has a full line-up, no excuses....he can not prevent 4-5 guys being out hurt, let’s put our emotions aside for once and think reasonably
It hasn't been easy being a Ragin Cajun Basketball fan the past few years and it looks like that will not change this year. This team will end up playing hard, win the games they should win, lose the ones they should lose, probably a little above 500. Kind of like the music I listen to from the classic rock days: I've heard it before, know the words by heart but still listen until the end of the song. I guess I'm saying we've seen this before but UL BB is engrained in me and I'll still make every game that I can physically get to. But no confusion that at the end of the season I will still long for the good old days.
That's how TCU got runs late in each half. Worked our 7 guys to death, legs wore out. This will not get better, even a high school coach knows to work an undermanned team. NO coach can fix attrition due to injury or discipline issues. That's why GB got a pass (rightfully so) for last year, and Bob will this year.
At least the men don't have "health issues" that "pop up" on the women's team occasionally.
Baseball went thru this last season. Football has had seasons we've lost most of the OL. It happens.
Does NOT mean I’m happy.
This post would probably sum up my approach to the program. I grew up going to cajun games in the dome watching some entertaining games. It's just the same song and tune every year when it comes to cajun fans getting any closer to having a program built towards excellence.
