We are not even a top 25 team yet. Doubt they are interested in our staff.

Exactly.... How long was the App St coach there? And with a better resume (at least over time), and where did he go?

    Can we stop with this.
We have not won a conference championship or beaten a So called P5 team yet with this staff. Doubt our coaches are considered for SEC jobs until we do so and if we do next year can we just enjoy the ride!!!!!

Exactly. No P5 school, or even upper level G5 school will hire someone who only has two years of HC experience and hasn't been a top notch school.
This is not a knock on Napier. just a simple declaration of fact. There are too many coaches with four plus years experience that have put together impressive resumes over that time.

I agree I don't see a P5 team throwing millions at a 2nd year coach... Now Napier does have connections like no one else but I still think it takes 3-4 years of success before big boys come a calling

I really, really, really like Napier and think he has a very bright future. However, any P5 AD that throws $12-15M ($3M+ per season for 5 seasons like Louisville gave Satterfield) with only two seasons of HC experience at a middling G5 program is, at best, totally irresponsible and, at worst, an idiot.

Morris was the first of many dominoes to fall. Who knows what Arkansas will do. If they don’t manage to get off the hook with Bielema, with two buyouts to pay for, they won’t be able to pay top dollar for a coach. I would think App State would have more to worry about with their coach having ties to Arkansas. The big money people want Malzhan, but I don’t think he would take it unless the money was astronomical. Any coach who goes there is gonna need a minimum of 4-5 years to build a winner, and the people of Arkansas are short on patience right now.

Not Arkansas, but it could certainly create collateral opportunities.
