Ineffective at the plate in the first two games against Southern Miss, UL's baseball team found some offense on Sunday, rallying for a 10-6 win to salvage the finale of the weekend series at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
"We grew up a little bit and fought today, and that's what this is all about — being able to come back," said UL coach Tony Robichaux. "In Major League Baseball, the team that wins the World Series is going to go home a loser at least 55 times, and that's because they're not only good, but also how they come back after being down.
"I'm not happy about getting out of the weekend 1-2. On the other hand, getting out of here with a win, instead of three losses, is a big thing."
