38-17 Cajuns. The plate lunch bunch serves up 500+ yards of offense.
Nunez took 27 sacks last year which was just about 2 per game. LL has 7 thus far which is less than 1 per game. The line was essentially the same last year albeit likely slightly improved this year. Nunez just held it too long and did not want to run. While he was a better pure thrower than LL, he still made poor decisions and threw a ton of INT's. Could he get hot? Yes and like I said, he threw a good ball when the conditions were set up for him to do so.
This is a great evaluation
The main storyline in last years game was our inability to stop them from gaining 4-5 yds per carry and getting off of the field in 3rd down. I’ll check stats in a bit to confirm. We are better equipped to keep them in check this year. There will be no trap game here.
Confirmed
Coastal had 4 drives over 5 minutes long. They had 25 first downs and had 38 minutes top. We were probably the better team in most aspects last year. This year we are definitely the better team and this defense imo will not allow Coastal to control the clock like they did last year.
So costal is allowing an average of great than 70% completion rate to FBS opposing QBs (not including GS)
On the flip side they are pretty efficient at QB
Our 2 losses were national TV games. Just win this one.....just win.
Well let’s look at it this way. If we believe we are what the Massey Rankings say we are and believe we are on the way up in the G5, then regardless of who had bye weeks and whatnot, we should go in there, get the win no matter how close or how much a blowout, and be back home preparing for the next game.
That’s what good teams do. That’s what well-coached teams do, and I believe we have some good coaches.
