Not likely. He was more likely to take a sack than LL. LL routinely 2-4 times a game escapes sacks that Nunez took.

Maybe. He could sling it but our pass protection hasn’t been that great this year. When he would sense pressure he’d cower in the pocket.

They were definitely different QB's. Nunez would have taken more sacks, but Levi could not make the plays down the field that Andre can. So I think it would have been a wash. I like both guys, Levi makes me hella nervous, but extends plays with his legs. Andre threw too many INT's, but also could make some down the field throws that Levi can't. So at the end of the day, I think if we had the same defense we have now, Andre would have won a minimum of 8 games, probably 9 or 10.

This made me laugh out loud in public. Nicely done.

Frankly I don’t understand why someone decided to bring Nunez into the conversation. It’s not like he lost his job, he ran outta eligibility. If we’re comparing what if? What if Brian Mitchell had this defense, what if Jake had these running backs.

The only question is LL our best current option. It seems either he is, or the others don’t add enough to warrant losing a year of eligibility.

Held them to 3 and long on the last drive of the game; then gave up at 15 yard pass play to continue the drive.
There was a huge luck play in that drive as well. We forced a fumble and the ball bounced right to a Coastal Carolina player that advanced the ball for a nice gain.

It's a groin injury. Not sure of the severity, but he was walking gingerly Saturday before the game.

You should get a nice stuffed tongue to go with that chaudin.

38-17 Cajuns. The plate lunch bunch serves up 500+ yards of offense.

bull____. He did play with this defense once they got it together after the first 4 weeks.

Nunez took 27 sacks last year which was just about 2 per game. LL has 7 thus far which is less than 1 per game. The line was essentially the same last year albeit likely slightly improved this year. Nunez just held it too long and did not want to run. While he was a better pure thrower than LL, he still made poor decisions and threw a ton of INT's. Could he get hot? Yes and like I said, he threw a good ball when the conditions were set up for him to do so.

The main storyline in last years game was our inability to stop them from gaining 4-5 yds per carry and getting off of the field in 3rd down. I’ll check stats in a bit to confirm. We are better equipped to keep them in check this year. There will be no trap game here.

    Confirmed
Coastal had 4 drives over 5 minutes long. They had 25 first downs and had 38 minutes top. We were probably the better team in most aspects last year. This year we are definitely the better team and this defense imo will not allow Coastal to control the clock like they did last year.
