I'd say at the very least a nice bowl win and a 10 win season. Maybe a conference Championship. Let's be realistic, Coach Napier is yet to accomplish the goals that he and the team have set for themselves.

Top recruiting class in the conference? Check and he did it quickly.
Won your division? Check. Did that in year 1.
Won a Conference Championship? Nope
Runs a respectable program? Absolutely.
Go to a bowl? Yep.
Win that bowl? Nope
Beat a P5? No.
Top 25 ranking? Not close.
NYD bowl? Yeah. No.

To be honest, G5 coaches have jumped ship for less, but for a head SEC job, Napier might need more of a resume. Then again, Freeze and Malzahn jumped after only 1 year at stAte.

Agreed. While I think Napier was a fantastic choice for us, and has done wonders in the short time he has been here, I don't think that he has done enough to warrant a big leap promo at this time. Not that it wont happen, it surely will, but more like 3-5 years from now.

Bustle took over a program with an empty cabinet. When Hud took the reins his cabinet was full, and yes plenty of quality. Nap took over a program still without a full cabinet, and won’t be full until next class. But the talent was pretty good. So it’s really inappropriate to compare the two.

That's pretty impressive for a coach with one west division title and barely over,500. May take a little more success to justify the hire to the boosters.

He hasn’t won a SBC championship, no signature wins, no top 25 appearance, no bowl wins and he is currently 12-9 as head coach. Always thought a coach needed to do a lot more to be considered for a P5 job.

Usually, yes, unless an AD/President just seems something he likes.

I would have thought someone like Cliff Kingsburry would have needed to do more in the college ranks to be able to immediately jump to a Head NFL job. But look what Arizona did.
