Probably nothing to it but you never know.

Eventually, we knew this was coming.
I don't think Napier would jump ship for Mititipi Tate. Just a gut feeling.
He doesn't seem to be the type to start something and not finish it...he stays for years 3 and 4...after that, who knows..
Rutgers is likely to hire Schiano. A lot of dominos would have to fall for this scenario to play out. I love what Napier is doing, but he has not proven himself at this time. An SEC team would be foolish to hire him since they can afford a more established coach.
I think placement comes into the picture too. They'll obviously be able to pay him, but if Dan Mullen couldn't win a championship with Dak Prescott and that roster, I just don't see Miss St being a real option for a man looking to win at the highest level. Just my opinion, but the SEC is ruled by 3-4 schools and that will not change any time soon. I think Napier ends up in the ACC in 2-3 years. Probably a Carolina school, if I had to be specific.
Y’all may laugh, but if his agent is good, which I’m sure he is, Napier could pick between South Carolina or UNC in two to four years.
Just to add to that, the ULM folks 100% believe Napier is headed to Memphis after Norville bolts for Tennessee.
You better believe coaches are using this in the recruiting game.
The only school I see him going to if they are looking for a coach would be Tennessee. They have the pedigree, the money, and the attraction to win in the SEC.
