Not telling anyone anything about their experience, I just related my experience. The point being my needs may be different that others. I had a good time. I cannot complain about things that I did not experience.

There are also multiple threads and post about how miserable everyone else seemed to be. I started this thread about some of the positives that can be taken away, but I understand thread drift. How was your experience?

My experience was FANtastic! I sat in my seat 95% of the time. I ate prior to going inside and I got my beer from walking vendors instead of waiting in line. Energy and crowd support was the best this year.

Wish we would have won, but such is life. Another big game Thursday. Geaux Cajuns!

ETA: my buddy, RaginReesh did wait in line all of half and into the 3rd for our 2 beers (I won rock, paper, scissors), and for that I appreciate his effort. Thanks, B!!

They needed a bar back for the beer vendors upstairs. Those people had to do everything, sales, restocking, icing the beer down and deal with an average crowd.

    Lots of positives.

At the risk of opening the floodgates, there hasn't been one complaint about getting back on the road after the game.

When something goes smooth it won't get mentioned. Its the way it should be. Thats a positive.

We don't know if the person in charge was under budget pressure. Again I'm gonna say it budget for way more than you think when you're promoting something. I doubt you'll ever be wrong preparing for a bigger demand. Also if we're using untrained volunteers it's a shame.
Many people who work concessions are HS kids doing it for various clubs.

I sit in the upper deck. I had a beer per quarter and one at half. Hit the head 3 times. Didn’t miss a play.

Guess there are positives to sitting in the cheap nose bleeds.

Which is fine, but have people checking on them to see what they need. University representatives in each section seeing what the volunteers need and lending a hand if need be.

.......So we just sat in our seats.....I love the total emptying that goes on with the teams and the logistical breakdowns of all the equipment.....saw the Ameri-core(?) ladies picking up all the trash ...the traffic with the back red lights in the distance....2 dudes running pass routes and a grandpa and kid the only ones left on the field......oh Ms Boomer read on in an interesting novel.....so another game that got away!

Begs the question though.. Do we really need volunteers working concessions at this kind of event?
