We know perfectly well what we have at kicker as far as this year goes. 2-7 on FGs with a long of 27. We have nothing.

Almendares has had opportunities to separate himself and has fallen short. Kicker of the future is pretty damn self explanatory given that I named the thread Kicker 2020. Maybe the guy can earn that job in 2020 like he did this year, but he’s done nothing to show he will succeed in the role. Therefore, it makes no sense to not actively pursue a kicker in this class.

Well, it seems Saban has poor FG kicking every year so that might explain our coach's woes as he comes from that coaching tree.

Convicted of sexual assault of a disabled 10 year old girl in 1987. Was married to a young lady from da berry. Claims he was bamboozled but I have my doubts. Last I heard he was in old Mexico.

In a statement to the court, Septien’s lawyers, Jay Ethington and Gerald Banks, said two separate, official polygraph tests indicated Septien was innocent of the charges. “I passed two lie detectors from the best in the business,” Septien said. “I mean, that’s something, okay?”

Interesting claim of innocence at the time.

Yeah, I do not know the truth, but I thought I would provide the other side. I wasn't there.

There’s a reason lie detector results are fodder for The Jerry Springer Show and are not admissable in court. In response to “How do you plea?” Raf said “Guilty, your honor” That’s something too. I didn’t know him well at all but as a contemporary of him I was stunned at the time. As I said I have my doubts of his claim he was bamboozled. He was an intelligent man, with funds, and he pled guilty. Regardless he was a great kicker for USL. My sympathies lie with his family, wife of the time and the victim and her family. Last I heard he was in old Mexico. Down for his wedding some Cowboy team mates were held when cocaine was found on a chartered off shore fishing boat. All dropped, couldn’t prove it was theirs. Anybody could have left that on the boat. For what it’s worth I think they were guilty too.
