Thread: 2020 Kicker

    Default 2020 Kicker

Well Stevie is a senior who’s been benched. Almendaras has done nothing to show he could be the guy going forward. Have we offered a kicker beyond a PWO for next year?

This is absolutely ridiculous--Napier is now the "pre-Will Lutz" Sean Peyton--can it be THAT hard to find a kicker that can convert a MAKABLE kick?!?

It’s just mind boggling. We lose out on a kicker last year to Tech because we offer a PWO, and they offer a scholarship. Then every other day I feel like I’m seeing a video of us giving out scholarships at practice. And nothing against those young men and the work they put in. But could we please invest in someone that might make or break a game!

A fan made a nice kick during a timeout.

Our attempt was awful. Went straight into the line.

    You nailed it Zepp.

That was Napier's biggest mistake to date.

Still not totally convinced it is our kicker.....I think she still lives in the area.

Honestly, that kid made that kick and the first thing I said quietly to the guy next to me was that it was longer than any field goal our team has made this year. That's the truth, I believe. It was uncontested, but it was still pretty funny.

The field goal game is cringe worthy and serves as more of a disadvantage because it takes away one complete facet of the offense-the ability to get 3 and not have to score a touchdown each time you get close to the goal line. You can play the woulda coulda shoulda game, but we got in near or in the red zone 4 (maybe more) times and only came away with 7 points. That can't happen. It worked against Liberty but can't cut it against App.

The blocked field goal was a turning point last night. Agreed?

If we hit that field goal despite everything else last night. It is a 10-10 instead of 10-7 and they might kick it on 4 th down instead of going for it twice. The touchdown from Thomas even then wouldn’t have ended the game

Not punching the ball in from 1 yard out was the turning point in my opinion
