2020 Kicker

We have a long of 27 through 6 games, and this clown wants to tell me the kicker of the future is on the roster. Wild.

We have three kickers on the roster, one who has PTSD from Hud shoving him into a locker, another who is 2-3 on extra points and a blocked FG, and the other who hasn’t done anything, and this clown wants to tell me the kicker of the future can’t be on the roster. Wild.

By the way, I never said we had a kicker of the future, just pointing out how ridiculous you are writing off a guy who missed an extra point and got a FG blocked. Reading comprehension, Sparky.

FG blocked because the guy needed to line drive the ball to get it there on a FG of just over 40.

And what I said was “HE’S DONE NOTHING TO SHOW HE COULD BE THE GUY MOVING FORWARD.” I didn’t write him off. I said he’s shown nothing. Which he hasn’t. What has he shown you? I’m saying we need to extend a scholarship offer in this class and go after a kicker. If Almendares stays on campus and beats that guy out, so be it. Good for him. Wild.”) excludes the possibility that the “kicker of the future” (whatever that means, I just want a FG, I’m not greedy) is on the roster.

We know perfectly well what we have at kicker as far as this year goes. 2-7 on FGs with a long of 27. We have nothing.

Almendares has had opportunities to separate himself and has fallen short. Kicker of the future is pretty damn self explanatory given that I named the thread Kicker 2020. Maybe the guy can earn that job in 2020 like he did this year, but he’s done nothing to show he will succeed in the role. Therefore, it makes no sense to not actively pursue a kicker in this class.
