Same concept as all the other snobberies.....only certain bands/genres/eras are acceptable, the rest are sellouts, or talentless, etc etc. Then pointing it out over and over...

Or maybe it's personal preference. I can't define when it goes from personal preference to snobbery, but I know when I hear it....maybe that makes me a personal preference snob.
