    He’s can contribute, not a difference maker. Being a contributor can be worth a scholarship depending on how much you contribute.

    He’s not a difference maker. I expanded my answer to include my proposition that a player doesn’t have to be a difference maker to still be worthy of a scholarship.

    Who said anything about a scholarship? He is not getting a scholarship. I just wonder whether he can even contribute at this level.

    I absolutely have the latitude to expand the question. The reality is that are few difference makers, but lots of role players. Many receive scholarship for their contributions. That's not limited to one player.

    No problem. Note that people who are on the practice scout team definitely contribute to a team's success. That is why their teammates are so thrilled when they get the opportunity to have success in a game.
