Wow another man hit by pitch. 2 score on a fielding error at 1st by Guillory. 6-1 USM. Game over.

Can't even give yourself a chance playing like that. Going to be a long season boys.

Two more unearned runs in the 9th, now 6-1 and USM still batting with runners on the corners and 2 outs. Just about all of their runs have come with 2 outs. Third out. Going to the bottom of the 9th.

Cajuns lose 6-1. For those who went to the game. How bad did it look in person? I know on the stat tracker it was terrible.

3 up, 3 down. Game over. UL loses again 6-1.

I will stand by what I said earlier this week in another thread. This team has no hitting, suspect defense and average pitching. We gave up 10 runs, 22 hits and 4 errors in 2 games vs. USM, never mind the debacle vs. SLU. There is a reason the SBC picked UL to be a middle of the pack team and no players or pitchers on the all conference preseason team. Two losing seasons in a row and now this. We've got a long season to go, but to start off this way, AGAIN, is disappointing to say the least.

They had their heads between there legs. No fire, no leadership on the bench or field.

Post game interview by Robe is getting to be like Lee. "We got to come out tommorow and do better. We pitched good enough to win. yada, yada yada". Ever Jesua Christ got mad when he kicked the traders out of the temple.....

I know it's early but UL looks like a team destined to finish 4th-6th in the SBC. Good pitching, below average hitting and porous defense.

We don't battle at the plate, it's embarrassing to watch. So many holes in our bats and if God forbid we hit the ball, it's a grounder to the pitcher.

Guys it looked like men against boys out there... USM has imposing players.. We are PHYSICALLY out manned this weekend....

No aggression at the plate... its not a pretty picture ....

A couple of games with many errors and no hitting can be forgiven. It's pretty obvious now that this is the norm. We're weak in the field and meek at the plate. Our pitching can not overcome this. It's going to be a long season.

Our pitching has allowed only 5 earned runs in two games against a very good hitting USM team. How is that bad pitching? Isn't that a 2.5 ERA?

Now hitting and defense, yes it was and is bad.
