Baseball Lineup

This is the best pitching that UL has had in the last few years, let's hope they don't waste it because they can't field the ball or string together three hits in a row. I know it's REALLY early in the season, but I think the lineup needs some tweaking. They should give the freshman Adam Todd a shot at catcher, put Keefer back at third. Put Lance Marvel at first, we heard alot about him this preseason, Bostick back at second, I'll trade low batting avg. for solid defense, Porrier at DH, Bowman in left. I know it's early in the season but the fielding and hitting has gave me deja vu from last year. Let's hope they can improve or it's gonna be another long .500 season. Either way, GEAUX CAJUNS!!!!

we will do better than a 500 season this year because of our embarrassing weak schedule..robe did that to post a 35-40 win season and to get the fans off his back..

after the 2006 season when we went 39-20 and did not get a regional invite because of our rpi robe started to schedule games against teams like arizona state,east carolina,nebraska and rice..well the last two years the schedule has been pretty brutal and the fans started to rumble about our baseball program so robe put his rpi concerns on the back burner and scheduled games against alcorn state(2),southern(2),houston baptist,miami of ohio and nichols state(3!!!).. Because of our schedule being so weak we are going to have to win the conference or the conf. tourney to get in

When your conference is #3 in the nation in RPI, I would say every conference opponent will be strong.

Exactly... and when your conference is possibly stronger than its ever been, that in and of itself upgrades the schedule.

The OOC schedule is a bit weaker than last year, but to say it is embarrassingly weak is not a knowledgable statement. There is not ONE such team on the schedule.
