Thread: Is UL Attendance Really That Bad!

A healthy/prospering program should sell at a minimum 50% of capacity as season tickets. Which would put us at roughly 19,000 season tickets. We should then see 15-20% of capacity as walkup sales. That SHOULD be where we are today. We have quite a ways to go. But if we are able to keep Napier and staff together as well as Maggard at AD we can get there. Within 5 years IMO. I see this year and next season as a huge spring board for this program.

UCLA can’t draw what we do to the Rose Bowl. Big difference.

I like the change to all the bowl games. As it currently is, I can enjoy football almost everyday from Dec 15 to the National Championship game.
...on TV, which I think circles back to the original problem. Not knocking your view. I enjoy the bowl season as well. WKU vs CMU in the Bahamas Bowl. That was crazy.

Yeah It is but I like the idea that you should stay the majority of the game in order to receive rewards

    ???

This is from an AP writer. The band is in the middle of the field. Its not a giant band. The teams aren't on the field for the national anthem at UL games, same here likely. Teams come out like 3 mins before kickoff at our games

Yeah and we don't fudge our attendance either. Come on. I'm sure that was a paid attendance number. The link provided is a minute before kickoff during coin toss.

So you say the previous picture isnt 15 mins (you said 10 mins, the tweet said 15) but I provide one a minute before and you change the point of argument. It's not 37k actual attendance and even if it is its a significant drop off: "Since UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl in 1982, the lowest average home attendance for a season has been 49,107 in 1995"

The thread is about how attendance is bad everywhere. Doesn't mean we shouldn't strive for better here.

SO the 16K that was announced for UL was more like 7500?

    You See LA

I see California Los Angeles with 4 million potential game goers in that 1 city.

UL FOOTBALL Attendance would have to be 20 times worse than UCLA's to suck half as bad.
