I have still not heard one iota of evidence or one person say, explain or give one fact why they would believe that for this university and its players that the 2018 bowl game in Orlando had any less meaning than any of the regular season games. I don’t think anyone can!!!!!!!!
I kinda agree that winning the bowl game wasn’t as important as winning the ULM game and getting to the conference championship. And if I had my choice of wins last season. I would have chosen the conference championship game over the bowl game. We wouldn’t have made the championship game without everyone of the conference games. I’d like to win conference championships especially now that there’s a game for it. It’s way bigger than any bowl we’re tied too. Imagine conf championship game at Cajun field this year. Gonna be epic.

Well it not fact it’s opinion. My opinion is any game that helps get us to the conference championship is important because that’s the goal. If we’re playing on national tv I want to hear the announcer saying “Defending conference champs” more than “ cure bowl winners”. There are bigger bowls if we were ever in could be bigger, but the current tie ins no.
Not sure what shred of evidence you are looking for. It's a subjective opinion for which you can not provide any more evidence than the person countering your point. The initial point made was that the sheer number of bowl games we have these days has watered down the quality of the postseason. Teams can get in with a 6-7 season or 6-6 season and even the lowest tiered conferences are getting 3+ teams into bowl games. You can be a mediocre team in a mediocre conference with a mediocre record and be invited to a bowl game when 20 years ago these games were a main goal of a team entering the season and many good teams with better records were not invited.
UL is selling discounted tickets to encourage increased attendance, but at least they are not giving tickets away! Apparently not all P5 schools are actually BIG TIME like they claim to be!
No, it's still bad after all.
