Yes, if you're going to a bowl game 8 out of every 10 years because every 6-6 FBS team in America goes bowling.

Is that a Yogi Berra quote?

So what bowl game caused attendance to be low last Saturday at Cajun Field?

I think there are many more other predominate factors that come into the picture for low bowl attendance than what you cite.

He didn't blame the attendance last week on a random bowl game. He was stating that the sheer number of bowl games and success required to be invited to so many more bowl games waters them down. The cajun fans traveled well the first couple of years to the NOLA bowl because we hadn't been to a bowl period since 1970. There was the novelty of it and feeling of success.

In regards to the Indy bowl, they are no longer going to get programs like Michigan State playing LSU with the more bowl games out there. As a matter of fact, I believe both the SEC and Big 10 dropped their tie in to the Indy Bowl recently.

Location (in both proximity and collateral things to do), schedule time of bowl, Home game attendance, did we win all the games that season we were supposed to win, did we win a couple games we were not supposed to win, bowl opponent,

That's all true, but if there were less bowl games, all that wouldn't matter to most fans.

I didn’t say he said the number of bowl games affected attendance last weekend. I posited the question because I believe number of bowl games had about as much effect on STurdays game attendance as it does on other bowl attendance. I think it is more other factors.

People did not go to the cure bowl last year because of many other factors - we got thrashed by Bama and M state, we lost to CC, low attendance and interest to regular season games after that, lost in conference title game, too far away, etc., etc., etc.

The novelty lasted for 4 years, that’s pretty good. I’m not for waiting another 40 years just to creAte a novelty. Right now we don’t travel well because of all the sins (arrests, video, sanctions, poor seasons, lost to CC, lost Sunbelt Championship, location, lack of interest during the season, etc.) post NO Bowls.

We need to not sin and win and we will have fans at Cajun Field and at the Bowl games. I believe too many bowls is another BS excuse.

Indy lost its luster because it got replaced by better bowls at better locations. That’s Indy’s fault and for that they get a lessor drawing team.

I like the change to all the bowl games. As it currently is, I can enjoy football almost everyday from Dec 15 to the National Championship game.
All I’m saying is when your postseason has even less meaning than a regular season game you’ve got a huge problem.

And when has that happened for the Cajuns?

    "less meaning" has no meaning.

In the history of bowls, any team with 2 losses was in a "less meaning" bowl.

Bowls are a football vacation, nit a meaning. That is unless you are undefeated or close to it.
