That's terrible in a city of FOUR million.

Just a question, how many sports teams are in LA?

    Two of everything.

But as we saw with the IceGators, Swamcats, and Roughnecks, Aviators, Bullfrogs and Drillers.

They all draw from a different crowd.

It's the crowd pool size that defines terrible.

What are we arguing here people? UCLA’s attendance is down and so is ours. Socal fans are known to be very hit or miss, bandwagonish. The event has to be the place to be. Sounds a bit like Lafayette actually now that i think about it, but on a much larger scale.

I’d be happy if we could average 25,000 a game, unfortunately 20k is a more realistic goal this season at the moment. However if we keep winning it will keep going up.

The teams we are playing at home do us no favors, Its unfortunate our most appealing home matchup is a midweek game. The concession prices should help as well as having our program heading in the right direction with the right leadership. Things are trending up.

You nailed it "the place to be" is key.

I don’t see what’s ridiculous. Like everyone else they are just trying to get their students to the game and to stay until the end.

I think what he meant was the step of literally having to track where your students are and whether they are staying at the game or not and to incentivize them to stay with additional rewards.

You are so right; the bowl games now are SO watered down. There are now two types: Playoff bowls, and Lolly-pop bowls. We need to expand the playoffs; I think at least 32 teams to start. Each game of that playoff system can have a sponsor; that way the business deals can stay in tact. I also think convenience and television have made in-person attendance drop. The game in general has become way too commercial, now we're talking about giving the players compensation outside of the scholarships they already receive. It's ridiculous.

I’ve got an idea, how about make college football a more watchable product? We all know the problems...fix them. It speaks volumes that even the most successful programs are having attendance problems. Bottom line, most of the games are snoozers and are only interesting to family members and gamblers.
