I didn’t say he said the number of bowl games affected attendance last weekend. I posited the question because I believe number of bowl games had about as much effect on STurdays game attendance as it does on other bowl attendance. I think it is more other factors.
People did not go to the cure bowl last year because of many other factors - we got thrashed by Bama and M state, we lost to CC, low attendance and interest to regular season games after that, lost in conference title game, too far away, etc., etc., etc.
The novelty lasted for 4 years, that’s pretty good. I’m not for waiting another 40 years just to creAte a novelty. Right now we don’t travel well because of all the sins (arrests, video, sanctions, poor seasons, lost to CC, lost Sunbelt Championship, location, lack of interest during the season, etc.) post NO Bowls.
We need to not sin and win and we will have fans at Cajun Field and at the Bowl games. I believe too many bowls is another BS excuse.
Indy lost its luster because it got replaced by better bowls at better locations. That’s Indy’s fault and for that they get a lessor drawing team.
I have still not heard one iota of evidence or one person say, explain or give one fact why they would believe that for this university and its players that the 2018 bowl game in Orlando had any less meaning than any of the regular season games. I don’t think anyone can!!!!!!!!
