1-1, we are what we thought we would be so far. LL has been better than I expected.

    Was that a stutter?

And both Hawkins and Magalei did not play a down of football last season at any level. Both of them have superior arms and size compared to Levi Lewis, neither has the experience on the field with Coach Napier's offense.
Can’t wait to see Hawkins whenever his time comes down the road. I think he has the most talent at the position. As far as Levi goes he did his job yesterday as game manager. He did what he had to do to win that game nothing less nothing more. I do agree that he’s gonna have to sharpen up those deep balls as the year moves on. That guy is an amazingly elusive athlete though.

Not sure why we continue to question what Napier has done in regards to bringing in QB talent. In my opinion this guy has a plan. Is he perfect? Probably not. But he doesnt seem to make the same mistake more than once. Hes doing whats best for the program. Unlike other positions, he cant hide a freshman or unexperienced guy somewhere for a few snaps at the qb position. He has a standard set for that position, and will play others if and when he feels that person has reached his standard. Trust the process

........LLs overthrows I think partly from a pretty big wind to flat zip looking at the flags.......I was disappointed in his escape speed last year but looked much faster this year....the jigs and jags were always there....don’t know enough about the schemes and check offs, but have heard about his having great skills in this area.....when reads are called with the Z/R I guess he is quite skilled in his reads....Geaux Zcajuns!!!

I feel that this coaching staff got the most out of Nunez and I expect the same with Lewis.

I think the addition of LL’s running and scrambling gives us a better chance to win if he can limit the turnovers and improve his downfield throws. I think that will happen as the season goes on. He may not be the greatest passer, but what he can do to extend plays and make things happen can really demoralize a defense and open up more plays. If he can improve those deep throws this offense will be potent in the SBC.
He’s a turnover machine. He has been involved in almost every turnover this young season.

Yeah you can find explanations for each, but the bottom line is the bottom line. Too many turnovers, and history of that position says it’s way more likely to continue than improve.

Not sure people are questioning Napier decisions. Instead venting about the apparent lack of serious improvement in the position.

Compared to where we were last year, depth of QB talent is off the charts!

As T stated previously, there are obvious reasons why the 4 QB's behind Levi haven't played yet. People questioning Billy's reasons for playing Levi are ignorant.

If people can’t see that LL has improved they are blind. He has gotten way better than what we saw last season. LL is still limited by his arm strength and downfield accuracy.
