Yes Coach, that's what we've been saying on here too. More than a little bit.
Billy knows we can’t just bludgeon people with the Trinity all year and expect to win every week. We will have to have a passing game to accomplish our goals this year and going forward.

Ok. Got you now. He is the best we have but at this stage you don’t believe is good enough to reach our goals. Hopefully he continues to improve. However there are some who have led me to believe they believe we should give someone else a shot. Don’t think Napier is ready to do that anytime soon.

Levi is limited for sure but to act like he cost us the miss st is a complete joke. There is no way you really believe that. Anyone with half a brain and knows any football understands the 500 total yards close to 300 on the ground we gave up contributed to that loss more than anything else. That take is as awful as your all American calls every spring

Napier knows what he needs to develop, however, whether he succeeds or not, rest assured that for this season it will be with Levi.

Your intelligence has been proven time and time again on this board, paper tiger.

I didn't give you permission to address me anyway, boy.

Levi has shown to be effective throwing outside the pocket. When the QB is under 6', he's reading throwing lanes below the shoulders of his offensive lineman. A slightly taller QB is reading those lanes above the shoulders of his lineman. There's a lot more space in the window between helmets as compared to the shoulder window. The window between helmets stays open a lot longer due to spacing. Levi may be guessing or has limited visibility when making deep throws while in the pocket. That may be why he often holds the ball so long and why he's often inaccurate with deep throws.

Of course he did because he realizes that in order to beat good teams you have to keep them honest against the running game. There seems to be two extreme views on this board when it comes to Levi Lewis; one won't give him credit and the other believes he is the next Blaine Gautier.

I’m a “tweener” on him. He’s got the feet to be a great scrambling quarterback. I just wish his passing game in the pocket would improve.

MAT, in my view, the majority of LL's detractors are not acknowledging he is the best option right now. I firmly believe LL is our best option right now, but that doesn't mean I believe he is the most talented in the QB room or that he is a good D1 QB.

Napier is putting the players out there that he thinks gives the team the best chance to win. There are plenty of true & RS Fr seeing playing time, so he isn't afraid to play guys that have shown it in practice.

The only logical conclusion is the rest of the QB room isn't showing enough in practice, and/or film room, to take time away from LL.

IMO, the two biggest weaknesses on this team is QB and MLB. Boudreaux is a limited MLB, but does know exactly what needs to be done and where everyone needs to be.

This team will take a giant leap forward when we improve those two positions. Until then, I am want both to succeed immensely.

I'm glad to hear him say it publicly.

I don’t think there is one poster that believes he is close to the next Gauthier, however, there are many that realize he is and will be the QB for this team this year and that it is really fruitless to over, over and over again post the same analysis of Levi’s deficiencies thinking that will get him better. Napier and all of us know what they are and I feel confident our coaching staff is up nights trying to figure how to make that situation better with Levi as QB.
