Clearly our quarterbacks shouldn't be totally judged on accuracy and technique when they're not getting three seconds to evaluate and deliver.
BWHAHA lewis had 8 seconds to throw back there majority of the night only time henwas pressured was from CB blitzes

So teams like ULM , App state & Arkansas state can get multiple great QBs but we cant 1 ... ok

Don’t think he had three seconds most passing plays before having to improvise. On the interception he had plenty of time. He just didn’t lead the receiver enough. That’s on LL.

Twilight Zone is right, But the only person who said the kicker is more important than the QB is you. I’ve watched this team for a long time and most of the QBs were not very good. I would put Levi firmly in the OK category. The others have 18 months to get their game ready for this level of football l.

More than one person has posted that they are more concerned about the kicker than the quarterback..

Levi is OK, and I expect him to get better. I think the argument is about his ceiling.

Yes, there were times he just sat there, plenty of protection. Either he couldn't find anyone open, or couldn't see the open WR.

So a negative comment on circumstances you admit you do not know. I really like those, NOT.

Not sure what your point is. Do you think someone else should be starter?

I think his decision making is going to get better as he missed a couple of reads early in the game or was late on his decision and delivery on a couple of routes but I saw a lot of good things as well from him.

And for all of those guys who talked about his inability to throw the deep ball, I saw a couple of nice throws down the field. One was dropped by Bergeron up the seam and the other our freshman WR didn't beat out the defender for the ball in the air.

He made a really nice throw on the GL to Bradley as well. After seeing the backup come in, I'm curious to know from some of the haters do you really think he's ready? I would think that you would be just praying that nothing happens to LL. He's clearly our top choice at the position this year.
That's where you and I disagree, the pass to Bergeron was an example of a pass not thrown greatly. Bergeron is 6'5, the ball should have had more air under it. While I give the DB credit for making the play, he throws the ball out in front of the receiver they have to go through Bergeron to defend the pass. The same with the throw to Bam Jackson that was intercepted in the endzone. Had he thrown the ball out in front of the receiver, instead of the chest the ball would not have been intercepted.

Overall, he played well as I stated in an earlier post and the next true test will be against Ohio. Jay's right, we haven't seen a good QB in a while in this program. The last two were Gautier and Broadway.

Mike, what does that have to do with evaluating his play? Fans can both acknowledge that he’s the best option AND critique his deficiencies. They are justified in doing so.

Love this quote from Coach Napier's press conference.

"We've got to find a way to throw it more consistently down the field. We took some shots tonight and we didn't execute very well there. We're going to have to go back and put a premium on the vertical passing game a little bit. "

Yes Coach, that's what we've been saying on here too. More than a little bit.
