Thread: Levi doubters...

  1. Default Re: Levi doubters...

My annual message, this time to LL: The long ball misses so far, are nothing practice reps can't fix.

And stay out of the weight room, use your time throwing.

Can we start a Stevie doubters thread? Do we give another kicker a shot moving forward? Coming off an injury from last season, seems to have the yips.

I agree with this. I am also convinced he has a plan and I can already see some of it starting to play out. Many of our fans simply want the final product now after only 1 season and 2 games!

Building up the PROGRAM rather than just a single team is what will lead to consistent success.

And he made two throws this past weekend that I didn't see him make last year, mainly because they didn't use him in that regard but he made a great downfield throw to Bergeron who just didn't make the catch. The ball was on the money but there was coverage. He also made a decent deep throw (can't remember the receiver but it was one of our younger guys) and the receiver just didn't make the play on the ball that the defender did but it was there. He showed me he can make those throws but we will need to see them made more consistently down the line.

Man, he looked bad. His kicks were not even close! In particular the one he pulled and hooked left after the first miss that went right. Wow.

I love the young man, and hope he’ll do well. I’m thinking though that he’ll be involved in more than one turnover a week. That’s might be fine if he’s throwing and running three or four touchdowns a game.

I am optimistic that he can sharpen up in some areas where his turnovers would be more limited as the year goes on. Some of the stuff up to now was just timing and sloppiness that you would likely expect from guys at the start of the season.

The only really concerning thing i saw this week was that on the deep interception, he had an underneath receiver in his direct line of vision who was 20 yards downfield and completely uncovered.

I feel that this coaching staff got the most out of Nunez and I expect the same with Lewis.

I think the addition of LL's running and scrambling gives us a better chance to win if he can limit the turnovers and improve his downfield throws. I think that will happen as the season goes on. He may not be the greatest passer, but what he can do to extend plays and make things happen can really demoralize a defense and open up more plays. If he can improve those deep throws this offense will be potent in the SBC.
No way not at this point but i'll wait and see

I do feel this team is talented one of the most talented I've seen at UL in a couple of years.

I'm giving this a reluctant but hopeful yes. Nunez was more accurate but I don't find he made any better decisions and he was just pure afraid to tuck it and run for a first. I think if LL continues to improve his decision making, we will say he was better at end of year.

We are looking for offensive production. If he throws about like Nunez, but runs better, he's better. I know we all want that guy that can make all the throws etc etc, but we don't have it yet. What I've seen so far, I think we are better off than last year.

I agree but if you watched the game thread this past weekend, you'd swear we were far worse off than last year or with JD or anybody over the last 4-5 years.

I only read the game thread for comic relief. Talk about emotional swings, it's like everyone on there is pregnant.

And needed more pickles than our cramping players.
