Since the NOLA Bowl is now once again reserved for the Sun Belt Champion, that should be the ONLY Bowl game the Cajuns should strive for (other than a New Years Day Bowl)! Going to any other Bowl game will mean the season left something to be desired.

Outside of New Years style bowls, no bowl is as desirable as The NO Bowl and definitely beats no bowl.

    Lol we are 0-1.

    First things first, maybe?

Is good for the players, helps recruiting, and we get to play a OC game against a FBS team with a winning record.

I agree. For many years, 9 and even 10 win teams sat at home during bowl season because all the bowl spots went to teams in the major conferences. I like knowing that a 7 win season practically guarantees a bowl game, and a 6 win season makes a bowl game highly probable.

Well then people are idiots and don’t understand the Bowl structure.

NOLA Bowl means we won a SBC championship (hopefully, finally, outright). Not going to NOLA Bowl means we didn’t. Somebody else beat us out for it.

I'm all for going to the NO Bowl if it means we won the SBC Championship. We haven't won one outright championship yet in the SBC as a founding football member.

Agreed. The goal this year should be outright conference championship. I would consider that a successful year.

The reality is no bowls are special since the playoffs began. Also making regular seasons less meaningful. I suppose if you’re the G5 team that makes it to the access bowl you can feel special.
