Thread: Cajuns' loss was encouraging in many areas, but don't jump to too many conclusions

  1. UL Football Cajuns' loss was encouraging in many areas, but don't jump to too many conclusions

It’s already been said countless times since UL’s 38-28 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

And it’ll be said many more times all week until coach Billy Napier’s Cajuns return home to meet Liberty at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Cajun Field.

The basic message is something like, “As competitive as UL was against an SEC West team, they’ll do great in the Sun Belt.”

So by this logic GSU is gonna be one badA football team as they dominated Tennessee Vols and won the game. Of course Tennessee is a weak East team.

I would imagine that the reason lost to SEC teams in the past was due to poor coaching and lack of organization of talent.

I can think of two losses in recent memory that were due to coaches not believing in themselves or the team.

In the 1920's Louisiana lost to LSU 3-0 at the end.

Lack of opportunities is another reason.

    Otherwise you are spot on.
