Just after 2 p.m., a jury charged with deciding the fate of a suspected serial killer charged with attempted murder found him guilty. Jeffery Lee Guillory was convicted on two charges following a brutal attack on a Lafayette woman in 2007.
Closing arguments for the trial began Friday morning shortly after 10 a.m. After two and half hours of deliberating the jury came to the verdict of guilty. Guillory is charged with one count of attempted second degree murder and one count of second degree battery.
