I don't understand that mentality, settling for moral victories, making excuses why we can't be good on a national level. So, we go and beat some SBC teams, so what? That's why we only have 15K-20K fans that show up. People want their team to be relevant, and nationally respected team, the only way to gain fans and support is to do it on the field. Win games you are not suppose to. Yes, the effort was very good, many players left it out on the field, there were opportunities. It just didn't get done, and that matters. To get more, we have to expect more.

You just said our guys left it all on the field. What we expect means little to guys in battle. It was encouraging to see us compete physically with an SEC foe. Disappointed with result like all of the rest of you and scratching my head on some decisions. I understand that in the heat of battle you have to make decisions instantly. Way to improve there is simply to be placed in more pressure situations.

Grades

QB-D 4 Turnovers made some decent decisions but the game ultimate was lost by him .. luckily shotguns are not allowed in the Superdome are some of those dukcs he threw would have been shot

WR- A Bell and Bradley are men

OL- B played well few penalties that need to be cleaned up

RB- B had some nice runs

P - F Had some awful punts

k - A perfect on extra points

DL- D Very little pressure

MLB - F meh Boudreaux is still chasing that RB in his dreams

OLB - B Forced turnovers and got pressure

DB - C bend don't break

We can’t take you’re grading seriously if you’re attributing the fumble ragas caused or the Hail Mary pick to end the game against the QB. Levi was responsible for 2 turnovers. That doesn’t get you an A but it sure as hell isnt an F.

It looked like a knee. 2nd half he was on sideline with no pads on and leaning on a crutch.

This isn't the case here but a QB could grade an F with zero interceptions.

Were they not turnovers by the QB ?

How about the botched kneeling or the floaters 8 feet above a 6'4" WR or the fact he could barely throw accurately passed 5 yards ... he had a D level game and hopefully we see a 2 QB system

I appear to be one of the few that thought Levi played good. First play int was a bad decision on his part. The fumble on the backwards pass to Bradley was hard to put on him. Was Bradley as far up the field as he was supposed to be? Maybe not( and if he caught it he would have been blown up. Should have run it there) and no one mentioned the 5 or 6 plays he kept alive with his feet. He has a good clock in his head and eludes the rush well. I haven’t seen any other QB on the roster, but have to think more sacks would have occurred if Levi wasn’t playing. He has poise and is a leader. If our offense would have had the cushion theirs did Levi would have thrown for 400 haha. Let’s win 13 in a row

This game should have been a W. When we stop beating ourselves against P5 schools, that is when our program will have turned a corner.

maybe if we dont play them so early in season, and of course if it is a true home game
