They did not care on that particular play, that one play, we are talking about where LL ran and gained some yards, because the time was being used up, it was about over. That is where I called it garbage time, nothing more.

I mean, if the ball is kicked deep with 3 minutes left the D made the necessary stop with 1:00 left and a chance to tie it.

Yep 3 minutes is WAY to early to onside kick in a 1-score game.

This defense battled through 4-turnovers to keep it a 1-score game. So, I like their game-on-the-line chances with a deep kickoff.

Of course if they make the onside kick, timing is a moot point.

I don't understand that mentality, settling for moral victories, making excuses why we can't be good on a national level. So, we go and beat some SBC teams, so what? That's why we only have 15K-20K fans that show up. People want their team to be relevant, and nationally respected team, the only way to gain fans and support is to do it on the field. Win games you are not suppose to. Yes, the effort was very good, many players left it out on the field, there were opportunities. It just didn't get done, and that matters. To get more, we have to expect more.

I think their sloppy play left the ripe for the upset. Our own sloppy play prevented that. Takeaway the turnover, I think they ran the ball more effectively and would have beat us. We held our own though.

This game should have been a W. When we stop beating ourselves against P5 schools, that is when our program will have turned a corner.

Man I thought we looked as good as you can look while having 5 turnovers and mostly poor QB play. A few bad play calls IMO, but for the most part we have 90% of the pieces to have a great year. Just have to keep improving.

I would agree. A play here or there. I like the way we competed. Clean up some things and I think we have a really good season.
T can you break down Levis performance? I didnt think he looked bad.

He didn’t look good. 75 or so of his yards were forward pitches to WRs in motion. He just isn’t the guy.

I thought Levi looked nervous and tentative to start. Take away the first 4 passes (which I know you can’t do) though and I think he had a very productive game. It’s just really hard to push that start out of your mind.

Great game by Calais. Tough games for E Michell and Boudreaux.
