Looks like it’s from type of awards ceremony.
That is Mason Aucoin with Coach. Mason is a walkon player on the basketball team. Reason for photo is they are celebrating an academic award Mason received at the return to school convocation a few days ago. Not too many A student engineering majors on college basketball teams, walkons included
why is the player’s ring upside down? and still not sure what the ring has to do with academic award, because if academic award why would the coach get it?
anyone else struggle with believing that many of these championship rings have a price tag of less than $500 per ncaa regs.... they say cheaper metal, fake stones, etc etc. but if that is the case why can students not buy larger graduation rings with fake stones too at the lower price tag?
also tin foil time....lets say each ring is invoiced at 400 and they buy 100 for 40000 bucks.... but real value was 800 .....meanwhile they are buying ten coaches rings worth 5000 each... how do we know they arent overpaying for the coaches rings and pay 90000 instead of 50000 thus including the extra 400 bucks of each athlete ring price difference.
