I don't believe that is true. I think they have to guarantee all seats are sold or pay the costs of those seats. In the past, many bus trips lost money for the association.

This is the one game where many fans have no interest in staying in the city that day. Perfect opportunity for a bus ride over and back.

Especially so with the 11 am kick. Seems like there's still time to pull it together. Students are back. Take advantage of the 1st game- game week enthusiasm.

Utilize this new Ragin Cajun Student Supporters Organization to set up buses and students excited about going to the game. What kind of game atmosphere will there be without students to go along with the band? It's not too late.

How many students live on campus? How many live off campus and are from out of town? Those students are gone for the weekend/labor day...sure, some nola area students will show up at game as walk ups, but in general.,while plenty of students home base in Acadiana, there isn't that sort of interest anymore..if there was, this thread would never had started...

All I here is excuses. You don't know if you would fill several buses until you try. I am driving there and back after the game, but if there was a bus I would have had my a&& on it in a minute.

Whether they live on or off campus. Most go home for the weekend , they are working to pay for school. Or they just don't care about a football game. No matter what, they are not going to a football game whether it be at Cajun field or away. I suspect there will be a thread or two about student attendance at games this season. I predict it will be low this year as it has been in the past. Student attendance will continue to decline here as it is at most college games.

My wife is a faculty member in the College of Nursing. She thinks about 90% of her students hold down a job during the semester. Most of those students will not attend any games this year. If the rest of the student body is similar to this, attendance will suffer. We need to work the balance of the students.
