So, I'm just setting the record straight. We love taking the susses on trips but many times there aren't 40 others that want to. Those numbers need to be better.
I did not know the AA's objective was to make money. They collect dues to market and promote Alumni engagement. When you have over 90% Alumni not giving back, the current way of doing things is not working!

Need 20, have none. I will step out there and say this is a bit of an under achievement.

We should have at least 10 buses going!!!! But we have none. Sounds like USL to me.

Our fan base as a whole just plain sucks!

Back in May couldn't the AA put out a feeder on getting a count on who wanted to go on buses. Have them pay in advance. If you have enough to fill three buses then hire three. Hire each bus as you get the money to fill each. The first forty if that's the limit get the first bus and so on......

That would have been too easy. Well they chose the easier route - no fricken bus Frenchie.

    Brilliant.

    Brilliantly easy.

    Some still call that "work"

Our alumni have not responded well to prepay. Last few busses cancelled due to no interest. Max busses for alumni was two for 3rd bowl game. So maybe AA should have tried again but their focus for Ms St game is in NO for those going. Don’t think AA is the problem.

That surprises me because I believe a morning bus ride would be the most attractive.

Perhaps not wanting to drive at night was the draw.

Either way they at least need to offer the opportunity for an in-and-out experience.

I know a couple who didn't want to drive and didn't want to touch the city on that day.

    2011 was an 8pm start
    2012 was an 11am start.
    2013 was an 8pm start.
    2014 was a 10am start.
    2016 was an 8pm start.
This game is an 11am start.

I’d say the biggest factor of not having interest would be not offering one.

20,000 students and we can't fill 5 buses with 200 students for an SEC game in N.O.? Pretty sad.

How do you know we can’t? They weren’t offered

I called Alumni Assoc. 2 months ago about buses. They told me that the last 2 times they couldn't fill a bus and lost money. I asked for what games, she responded the ULM last year and the Wally Pontiff Classic baseball game. I told her that you can't compare a NO football game to a ULM game or a baseball game. She said that is what they justified it with not offering. SAD
