The question of how was almost immediately put on the backburner.
It didn’t take many discussions with UL students for the new athletic department’s marketing group to recognize what was needed.
The idea of the student’s tailgating area for Ragin’ Cajuns home football games being at Bourgeois Park_— across Cajundome Boulevard from the Lamson Park/Bourgeois Hall parking lot_— just no longer made sense.
Student tailgating.....UL could buy a 10 piece combo and that would cover the entire student population that tailgates.
Beat Mississippi State in the first game. Will increase attendance for first game for sure.

Sounds like some work and organization has gone into this effort, which to me means Assit AD N Y probably had nothing to do with it...
These are significant changes to encourage student buy in and involvement in sporting events. I hope now that students are getting what they want, they will approve a modest assessed athletics fee similar to their peer institutions in the conference and around the country.
