Honest question. What do you consider "small time" for UL? Being in the Sun Belt? What would be considered "big time" for UL? Being in the C-USA or AAC? Independent? And please no flippant responses like big time means SEC or ACC, etc. We know that ain't happening.

My honest answer is to be one of the Top 10 G5 programs in the country, regardless of conference. But preferably, not in the SBC, CUSA or the MAC. Now unfortunately I'm not certain we even have a outside chance at achieving that goal in the next decade or beyond. We simply don't have the corporate contacts for funding outside of Lafayette, nor a brand that others would be willing to get involved with. It's more than likely we will end up in a regional conference of programs leftover from SBC and C-USA for financial survival.

Being in the top 10 in regards to G5 budgets, facilities and success. Which would mean a complete renovation of Cajun Field (to an appropriate size 36k), football never losing more than 3 games in the regular season. Getting the reputation as a tough W or a team you don’t want to play if you’re a P5.

Basketball, back to dominating the Sun Belt and getting into the NCAA/NIT 3 out of 5 years. Not playing crap schedules like we have been the last decade.

Baseball, making a regional every single year and Super Regionals or better 3 or 4 times a decade.

Softball, win a damn Natty!

Forgot: Purchase state of the art 4K UHD equipment in order to produce our own content and get back some control over our schedule. Move football games back to Saturday nights (7:05) in the Swamp!
