Your point does not reconcile. If the new purchaser will occupy a seat, why not it be the second ticket purchased? Then the same one seat is occupied and the university gets money for two.

I have given away some of my season tickets but have never sold any. I believe if someone is willing to shell out the money to buy a ticket they should get it from the university, especially in times like this. JMO
